Tenth Avenue North - Losing

My new favorite song.
Enjoy! =)

I can't believe what she said

I can't believe what he did

Oh, don't they know it's wrong?

Don't they know it's wrong?

Well maybe there's something I missed

But how could they treat me like this?

It's wearing out my heart

The way they disregard

This is love. This is hate.

We all have a choice to make

Oh, Father won't You forgive them?

They don't know what they've been doin' (oh no)

Oh, Father, give me grace to forgive them

Cause I feel like the one losin'

It's only the dead that can live

But still I wrestle with this

To lose the pain that's mine

Seventy times seven times

Lord it doesn't feel right

For me to turn a blind eye

But I guess it's not that much

When I think of what You've done.

This is love. This is hate.

We've got a choice to make

Oh, Father, won't You forgive them?

They don't know what they've been doin'

Oh, Father, give me grace to forgive them

Cause I feel like the one losin' (oh no)

Why do we think that hate's gonna change their heart?

We're up in arms over wars that don't need to be fought

But pride won't let us lay our weapons on the ground

We build our bridges up, but just to burn them down

We think pain is owed apologies and them it'll stop

But truth be told it doesn't matter if they're sorry or not

Freedom comes when we surrender to the sound

Of Mercy and Your Grace, Father, send Your angels down (singin')

Oh, Father, won't you forgive them?

They don't know what they've been doing (oh, no)

Oh, Father, give me grace to forgive them

Cause I feel like the one losing

I feel like I've been losing

Oh Father won't you forgive them

They don't know what they've been doin'

Oh Father, give me grace to forgive them

Cause I feel like the one losin'
I feel like I've been losing
Oh, Father, give me grace to forgive them
Cause I feel like the one losin'

When it rains...

John McRae pours!

Saturday was another rainy, steamy day of being stuck inside and we get SO stir crazy.

It's gotten to the point to where we have to get really creative to pass
the time while being stuck indoors.

Nobody loves a birthday party better than JMc, so he was all for having Bubble Puppy
an "elephant birthday cake birthday party."

Our big boy helped bake the cake.

Yep, he stuck his tongue in it.

And yep, he stuck his finger in it to give the icing a taste.
After nap, it was time for cake.

This kid LOVES sweets!

STOP! In the name of cake!

Mama's eyes are red and looks a mess after her lovely 3 hour nap!

Then, we finished up the fun with a little learning.

XOXO,
Stacy

The Kid Has Style

We just haven't quite figured it out yet.

Notice the gold chain with diamond.

Pants on head and around neck = hat and scarf.

Silly kiddo.

Gotta have bling and boots.

With this kid around, there is never a dull moment.
And, we love every minute of it!

XOXO,
Stacy

Little Helper

On Saturday, John McRae helped his Daddy & Papaw with reflooring the cow trailer.
This was his first time to get to help with one of their projects and he was such a big boy.
John McRae thought they were building him a new play place so he kept telling
them thank you every time a new board was laid.
He was sure that they had built him an ark for all of his imaginary animal friends.
Never a dull moment around our house, that is for sure.
Any of you that watch Peppa Pig will appreciate this next part.
After each board was cut, Papaw would give John McRae the scrap wood to play with.
John McRae kindly responded each time by saying, "Thank you, Granddad Dog."

Hard at work.

Somebody is getting sleepy.

Supervising.

Just hanging out.
What I chose to do instead of manual labor.  I made something for Grandma Johnson with the scrap pieces of wood. :)

Afterwards, John McRae enjoyed his lunch outside, but not at his picnic table.
Black Widow - 1, Mama - 0
But that is a whole 'nother story.

XOXO,
Stacy

Donations for Holt Korea

Thanks to an adoptive mom's group on Facebook, Michelle Durant and I realized that our families have something very special in common.  Her sweet Pia and our most-awesome John McRae share the same foster family.  In case you didn't know, this makes us family. =)

Michelle will be traveleing to South Korea soon to bring Pia home to her forever family.  Being the sweet and caring person she is, she has volunteered to take donations with her to Korea when she travels.

If any of you would like to make a contribution, please let me know.  Michelle is very trustworthy and is willing to use your cash donations to purchase items from Holt Korea's high needs list.  If you are local, I will send your monetary contributions to her for you.  If you want to purchase your items for donation online, I can give you Michelle's mailing address so that you can ship it directly to her.  This would be the best way to go get donations to her that aren't monetary.  If you do not like shopping online, tell me what you want, and I will order it for you.  If you don't want to send a check, you can PayPal Michelle from her blog at ourjourneytosouthkorea.blogspot.comPlease, please, please consider taking part in this.  As a mother to a son who depended on these type donations for the first 17 months of his life, I totally understand the importance of these donations.  Many of the items are easily found in the U.S., but either aren't availabe or are very expensive in Korea.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me!
