Dog to Toddler in 3 Days...

The weekend was good.  Quiet, but good.  Saturday, MIL and I went shopping a bit and found some great sales.  I got shirts & shorts at JC Penny for $1.57!  It was heaven, because JMc didn't have many 18 month clothes.  I had previously bought 24 month and 2T, expecting a much heavier little boy!  We also got some cute Halloween shirts and pjs from The Children's Place!  If you know anything about me you know I LOVE Halloween. :)  Once I know his exact size, I will be back!  I've posted three of the goodies for your viewing pleasure, but couldn't find one.

Yesteray, D was recovering from yellow jacket stings to the head and arms!  After spilling an entire cup of HOT coffee on himself, he was also recovering from burns.  Poor D! :(  I cleaned a bit, and tried to take a nap.  The Breast Cancer Awareness people called and ruined that.  I actually feel bad today that I was so pissed at them for ruining my Sunday evening nap.  Possibly the last Sunday evening nap that I'd see for a very long time...unless JMc wants a nap, and then I'd probably need to be doing laundry.  I'm very passionate about breast cancer awareness, treatment and its victims, but Sunday afternoon...during a thunderstorm, with a bit of rain hitting the roof.

Today, I'm blogging at lunch, but I've been getting caught up at work so that I can take some time off.  I've printed maps and directions to the hotel and airport.  Tonight, I will finish cleaning, and attempt to install the car seat.  Be warned, you may all hear me swearing at the darn thing if it is anything like I'm fearing it will be.  Tomorrow, I'll tackle the grocery store. We are out of everything!  One more day and we'll be using pine cones, because we are down to the last roll of toilet paper!  It is not going to be a fun trip to Wal-Mart, and I'm very much not looking forward to it!  The isles will be crowded, all of the ladies will have PMS, and I'm sure I'll forget my list at home.  Then, when I have one, possible two buggies, filled, there will be one checker and everyone ahead of me will need a price check.  Oh the joys!

Please keep our family (and the folks in Wal-Mart) in your prayers.  I also ask that you pray for JMc's foster and biological families that he is leaving behind.  We are being blessed with the greatest gift in the world, but he is losing so much.  His home country, the only family he knows, the things we take for granted such as familiar smells, sights, and favorite places.  He's going to be so confused, and I pray that he will adjust smoothly and love us as much as we already love him.
