One week down, Forever to go :)

What an amazing week!

A week ago, right now...hmm.
D & I were leaving the hotel in Olive Branch, heading to
Wal-Mart to get a fruit basket for our son's escort.
We truly didn't know what to expect in the coming hours, but were certainly ready for our son to be home!  Honestly, we were expecting the worst and praying for the best!

One week later at 8pm, Thursday...

I'd be lying if I said it was all peachy, but even with the rough spots, the past week has been so special to our little family.  Tuff wonders why in the H. E. Double Hockey Sticks we ruined his life!  John McRae LOVES LOVES LOVES Tuff.  I'm not sure the feelings are mutual.  When JMc sees Tuff, he lights up and is all smiles.  When Tuff see JMc, he sees his ears and jaws being pulled, his eyes being poked, his back being bitten.  Brotherly love, right?  When JMc gets anything new, he has to let Tuff try it.  Tuff likes the puffs, but he can do without a sippy cup being stuck down his throat.  I might be picked up by DHS for this next comment, but their favorite game is when JMc spills all of his puffs on the floor and they see who can eat the most the fastest.  Tuff spends most of his day under the bed, and JMc stays pissed because we won't let him under there!
Fun times...
So far this week, we have watched many episodes of the Jetsons, went for a visit in Carmichael to the chicken/turkey pen (Thanks PJ for the pics), had our first drs appt., shopped a little, strolled, and rode the golf cart.  We've tried to stay in as much as possible, but we do venture out from time to time.  Our days and nights are still SO screwed up, but we are making baby steps.  I'll take baby steps as long as I'm getting more than 3 hours of sleep a night!
That creates a cranky toddler and mama!
JMc's eating has improved drastically.  He will now eat many things, and has gained a little over a pound since he's been home.  I was used to Tuff watching my every bite and begging for it, but now Tuff and JMc sit side by side in front of me, both begging.  It is a bit much, because they are both pretty head-strong boys!  They don't give up easily!  You'd think I'd lose some weight, but I just put extra on my plate.

Here's a little video for your viewing pleasure.  I'm not sure why it uploaded sideways, just turn your head to the left.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS, POSITIVE THOUGHTS, KIND WORDS, LOVE, AND SUPPORT.  WE MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ABLE TO RESPOND, BUT WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE IT VERY, VERY MUCH! OUR HEARTS HAVE BEEN SO TOUCHED BY THE OUTPOUR OF LOVE AND EMOTION THAT EVERYONE HAS FOR OUR SON. WE ARE SO PROUD, AND LOVE THE FACT THAT HE HAS BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY TO SO MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES.  GOD IS GOOD. =)

Love the picture of him in Daniel's boots. He's so sweet. You'll sleep again, I promise. If you ever need a break call me and I'll come sit with him while you take a nap (or get a shower and be able to shave both legs at the same time...been there, done that). I'll bring Gavin and he can entertain him. Love you.
